Ms Beate Andrees is the Chief of the ILO’s Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work Branch, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The Branch promotes policy development, carries out research, and provides technical advisory services on child labour, forced labour, non- discrimination and freedom of association and collective bargaining. Previously, Beate Andrees acted as the head of the ILO Special Action Programme to Combat Forced Labour. In this role, she coordinated the ILO’s efforts towards the adoption of a new Protocol and Recommendation on contemporary forms of forced labour in June 2014 and managed technical cooperation programmes in various countries. Before joining the ILO, she worked for the German Parliament and as a lecturer at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. She has published widely on issues related to fundamental labour rights, migration and human trafficking.

Fabrice Favero, Swiss national, married, 4 children, started with Nestlé in 1995 as Marketing Manager Nespresso, joining then in 2000 Mövenpick Foods International, as Vice President Sales.
In 2004, he moved to the Nestlé Ice Cream Strategic Business Unit at the Centre as AVP. He was transferred to Cairo as General Manager Ice cream for North East Africa in 2008 before being appointed Global Business Executive Officer for Nestlé Super Premium/Mövenpick in 2010.
In 2012 he was appointed as CEO Nestlé Norway/Iceland, then in 2016 CEO Nestlé Austria and currently as of 1 January 2019, he is CEO in The Netherlands.

Executive Director of the RMI (Responsible Mica Initiative)
Fanny has ten years of experience managing corporate social responsibility programs fostering collaboration among multiple stakeholders ranging from corporate procurement, R&D, marketing and communications functions to governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as research bodies. Before joining the Responsible Mica Initiative as Executive Director, Fanny founded ReShape, a consulting agency specialized in sustainable sourcing. Previously, she held different positions at leading French cosmetics manufacturer Groupe Rocher where she established a responsible botanical sourcing strategy which earned the company recognition for its cause marketing programs and responsible procurement strategies. For six years at Groupe Rocher Fanny supported efforts to address mica supply chain sourcing which included numerous field trips to the mica region of India. Fanny holds a Masters in Management from EM Lyon Business School and participated at the Social Entrepreneurship Education Program at INSEAD.

Hannah Tijmes is the head of the Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) department in the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She is responsible for policies on RBC vis-à-vis Dutch businesses and the voluntary sector agreements that have been characteristic for the Dutch RBC approach. Hannah is also responsible for the policy review on RBC that is currently being carried out and for the elaboration of the Child Labour Duty of Care Act.

Moses Hannington Thenge has served as human resources manager at Kakira Sugar limited(KSL), the largest sugar company in East Africa and one of the largest in Africa, for over 20 years. He has successfully instigated policies and practices which have ensured child safety and protection ,respect for the rights of workers and women in all company operations. Moses worked on establishment of a partnership fund between the company and sugarcane farmers with the aim of extensively addressing /preventing child labor among the local communities involved in sugarcane growing. He has also held senior positions in local governments of Kenya and Uganda where he over saw the implementation of child labour prevention policies and strategies.
Moses has also served as a member of the standards committee at ILO, Director Human Resources at the Civil Aviation Authority Uganda and Personnel Manager of Standard Chartered Bank Kenya. He is a graduate of the University of Westminster London.

Niels van den Beucken CFO of Arte. Arte, a SME company, is a custom supplier of stone and derivative products (kitchen worktops and projects).
10 Years ago we consciously focused on sustainability and we were the driving force behind positive change in our chain. In 2017 we were given the green light for participating in the Subsidy Program Fund for Combatting Child Labour. Our goal: integrating a community based approach towards the creation of Child Labour Free Zones and effective supply chain measures by Arte and her local supplier in India with support of Arisa and a local NGO. No material support, but a change in mentality to effectively tackle child labour and its root causes in the stone sector.
