Moses Hannington Thenge has served as human resources manager at Kakira Sugar limited(KSL), the largest sugar company in East Africa and one of the largest in Africa, for over 20 years. He has successfully instigated policies and practices which have ensured child safety and protection ,respect for the rights of workers and women in all company operations. Moses worked on establishment of a partnership fund between the company and sugarcane farmers with the aim of extensively addressing /preventing child labor among the local communities involved in sugarcane growing. He has also held senior positions in local governments of Kenya and Uganda where he over saw the implementation of child labour prevention policies and strategies.

Moses has also served as a member of the standards committee at ILO, Director Human Resources at the Civil Aviation Authority Uganda and Personnel Manager of Standard Chartered Bank Kenya. He is a graduate of the University of Westminster London.
